Frontier Junktique Jamboree on Sept. 25th and Sept 26th is a unique eclectic festival celebrating creativity and repurposing with a Junk to Jewels event. Pieces of "junk" are magically and creatively turned into one-of-a-kind items. These items are then auctioned off to fund the Sign and Facade Grant program for the Colorado City Main Street program.
This years festivities will include a "Juntiques Road Show" with an on site antique gun appraiser, a funtastic kids area, petting zoo, Gun Fighters, Fashion Show, various forms of entertainment, parade, a 5K Junktique Jog and Western Walk, and fabulous food. Fantastic shopping at the creative downtown shops, unique booths and exhibits are the highlight of the event.
Saturday night (and Sunday encore) will be unforgettable! The Colorado City Opera House and the Main Street Program are proud to present "The Cowboy Ain't Dead Yet!". R.J. Vandygriff is a one man musical comedy about the most fascinating character to ever ride across the pages of history, the American cowboy! Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce, City National Bank and a booth at Junktique.
Texas Highways called the Junktique "an over-the-top creative festival".
